25 Things I am Thankful for – Fitness Edition #10 Heart Rate Monitor
I love my Garmin Forerunner 110! I have used heart rate monitors on and off with my training and have found that I really enjoy being able to get a rough estimate of what I have accomplished. Last spring, I purchased the Garmin, which is the first heart rate monitor that I have had that has GPS. It has been one of my favorite features on the watch, especially while running outside. The Garmin allows me upload all of my data (distance, time, elevation, average and max speed, average and max heart rate, and calories burned) online to a secured website where I can track and analyze what I have done. I can put a description in of where I ran and what type of activity I did to help keep track of my progress. If you have not used a heart rate monitor with your training, no matter what kind of training you do, I encourage you to try one out. For many, it is a major motivator to do just a little more!
