25 Things I am Thankful for – Fitness Edition #19 Pull-Ups
Pull-Ups are one of my favorite exercises for the back. For most of us, they are one of the most challenging exercises to master. The primary muscles being targeted are the latissimus dorsi (“lats”), literally meaning, the broadest muscle of the back. Pull-ups can be performed a number of different ways. You can change your hand position to change the exercise, you can use assistance devices, such as bands, to help achieve a full pull-up or you can do full body “kipping” type movements. With proper training and determination, just about anyone can do a pull-up!
