25 Things I am Thankful for – Fitness Edition # 21 Dumbbells
Who doesn’t love dumbbells?! They are so versatile, you can do just about anything with them! Some of the main benefits of using dumbbells are:
- You can do both bilateral and unilateral exercises
- Multiple muscles are required to activate in order to perform an exercise with a dumbbell, specifically stabilizer muscles
- Dumbbells don’t allow for training strength imbalances in arms
- One set can be used to train your entire body
I use dumbbells in just about every workout that I do. Below is a sample of a total body dumbbell (DB) workout:
